Cam Newton Is Shocked To Learn That Reginae Carter Is Only 23-Years-Old + Places The Socialite ‘In The Same Category As’ Kylie Jenner

Famed NFL player Cam Newton is back to his online talk show series “Funky Friday W/ Cam Newton!” During the premiere episode of season two – which aired today, September 2 – Cam Newton sat down with socialite Reginae Carter to talk about her life, career goals, and what the younger generation is up to. Out of everything Reginae Carter shared with Cam Newton during their chat, it seems like the free agent was most surprised to learn the age of the young actress.

After sharing that she’s only 23 years old, Cam paused for a brief moment in shock then said,

“What!”

He then explained why Reginae Carter’s age surprised him so much.

“I’m going to put it like this – cause honestly – and please don’t take this the wrong way, but I put you in the same category as like a Kylie [Jenner].”

He continued,

“We’ve seen you all our lives and you look at it like ‘d*mn, how old is Kylie, how old is Reginae?’ – I’ve known you for so long that it’s like I know you, dig what I’m saying?”

While spending time with Cam, Reginae also touched on what it was like growing up in the spotlight and having famous parents. She said,

“I feel like growing up, you know, your typical favorite rapper [or] singer is like my aunt or
my uncle, or you know, like my little sister [or] big brother. So yeah, I see a different side [of artists].”

She continued,

“But, just like my father is my father, but I still – everybody already knows I’m his biggest fan.”

As you may already know, Reginae Carter is the daughter of rapper Lil Wayne (real name Dwayne Michael Carter Jr.) and businesswoman/ reality star Toya Johnson.

Cam Newton’s confusion over Reginae’s age is understandable, considering his mind may be preoccupied with his current legal battle against his ex. As previously reported, his ex Kia Proctor is accusing him of failing to pay the utility bills for the home where she raises their 4 children. According to the suit, Cam previously agreed to pay utilities for the home. However, he has failed to do so, which has caused the owed amount to hit over $20,000.

Kia Proctor claims that from September 2020 to July 2022 she incurred $5,500 in cable expenses, $6,600 for the internet, $4,725 in power charges, and another $4,532 for gas. The grand total owed comes to $21,357. She also wants Cam to pay her $2k to cover her legal bills for having to take him to court.
