Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II has passed away this afternoon (Sept. 8) leaving social media in awe.

As previously reported, Queen Elizabeth died at her residence, Balmoral Castle in Scotland after doctors had become concerned about her health this morning (Sept. 8). She was 96. The queen has ruled over the United Kingdom and 14 other Commonwealth realms. Her son, Charles, became king following her passing.
