Prince Harry didn’t have his wife Meghan Markle beside him as he went to go see his grandmother before she died.

According to reports, Meghan Markle didn’t get invited to see Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II before she passed away on Thursday (Sept. 8) at 96-years-old. Many speculated that the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, may have opted out of the viewing out of respect for her beau Prince Harry. However reports note that it has been a decision made by the higher up’s within the Royal Family.

It was reported that Meghan decided to go to Balmoral Castle at another time even though she canceled attending an event in London, after she heard the news. Prince Harry appeared at the Balmoral Castle after the news surfaced around the world.

As previously reported, after doctors were concerned about her health yesterday morning and kept her on bed rest, Queen Elizabeth II eventually passed away at her residence, the Balmoral Castle, in Scotland.
