Ray J Calls Charlamagne “Hella Corny & Lame ASF” After He Accused Him Of Working w/The Kardashians To Promote New Season Of Their TV Series, Later Apologizes

R&B singer Ray J had an intense reaction to Charlamagne Tha God’s promotion of their interview.

The “One Wish” rapper appeared on Charlamagne’s “Hell Of A Week” recently, and was grilled about a suspected partnership with the Kardashian’s. If you recall Ray J, born William Ray Norwood Jr., 41, recently doubled down on accusations that his famous ex Kim Kardashian, 41, and her mom-ager Kris Jenner, 66, were attempting to ruin his name by blaming him for Kim and Ray’s sex tape leaking. However according to a headline promoting the interview, it seems Charlamagne, born Lenard Larry McKelvey, 44, didn’t fully believe Ray’s story, leading to blow up in the comments section.

During the Comedy Central interview, Charlamagne flat out asked Ray if his recent lashing out against the Kardashian’s was a PR stunt. The Breakfast Club host noted that The Kardashian’s season two conveniently aired only a couple of weeks after Ray released contracts and receipts, allegedly proving Kris Jenner was the mastermind behind the sex tape deal. Though Ray denied the notion on the episode, a promo posted on the HOAW official instagram page claimed Charlamagne “doesn’t believe the hype.”

A furious Ray responded, stating he would have never interviewed with the media personality if he knew he’d do “some sucka sh*t.” He wrote:

“You hella Corny bro for this!! I’m really fighting for my kidz to know the real truth about their Dad bc that’s the #1 most important thing to me as a father and a BLACK MAN– for my FAMILYS NAME – it’s crazy bc [we] talked on the phone and you know what my only agenda was and is!!! I would’ve NEVER did your show if I knew you would do some sucka sh*t like this!! the headliner for this post is thirsty and click bait at the highest level! — lame AsF — You halla lame,”

Since the release of the Kim and Ray J’s sex tape, the singer has continuously fought perceptions that he’s to blame for the video leaking. The Love & Hip Hop Miami star says that Kim and Kris actually pressured him into selling the adult film. An entire saga around a potential second tape, where Kim claimed Ray J’s team was threatening its release, opened the premiere of their new Hulu reality series.

However Ray has been adamant he’s fighting for the truth to be revealed for the sake of he and his ex Princess Love‘s two young children. After his initial lashing out at Charlamagne, the singer later apologized. He wrote in a post:

“Earlier today I saw a headline on @cthashow that made me very upset,” wrote the 41-year-old, “because I’m very serious about my truth – this is my life and my kids I’m representing! But the way I reacted was wrong – I should not have used those negative words and called @cthagod – that’s not the way I want to resolve an issue with somebody I respect. I have a lot on my back and mind right now and it’s taking a toll on me. I wanna apologize to you, nobody told me to do this- I haven’t picked up my phone because I feel it’s becoming toxic. This is from the heart I’m sorry for the way I reacted- it was very unprofessional. Peace and Love KING @cthagod.”

The original caption on the Hell Of A Week’s promotional video has also been changed.
