Young Thug — Akbar V Talks Being Slapped By Incarcerated Rapper: It’s Nothing Like That, We A Family
Akbar V (real name Valerie Raven) addresses the infamous slap incident involving Young Thug.
The former Love and Hip Hop star claimed the incident wasn’t as dramatic as it was depicted during an interview on The Progress Report podcast. In fact, she views Young Thug (actual name Jeffery Williams) as a member of her family and thinks he has a nice soul. Akbar V started by saying:
“It wasn’t just like that.”
She continued,
“I done got to fighting with all [of] them. Y’all got to understand like this is, this is a family. It’s nothing like that. … We done jumped them. It’s family. … We’re a family so, we gone have disagreements and arguments. I’m never gone say like he beat women. He not even like that, he a good person, he have a good heart. And — I love him.”
Akbar V’s latest response to the 2017 incident seems to be in conflict with her original statements about the altercation, mainly because when it first took place she reported Young Thug for battery.
The alleged encounter happened, as was previously reported, in an Atlanta nightclub’s parking lot. According to rumors, Young Thug‘s ex-artist Akbar V had a falling out with his ex-fiancée Jerrika Karlae. On camera, Akbar screams and curses at Thug about his fiancée. Young Thug apparently slapped Akbar V at one point, however, the slap allegedly wasn’t captured on camera.

The additional comments about the alleged slap event come after Akbar V got into a heated Twitter argument with Cardi B (real name Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar). Initially, the two women sent out some subliminal tweets, which led to them finally mentioning one another on the social media platform. The drama is said to be the result of Akbar V inheriting Nicki Minaj‘s beef after appearing on her “Super Freaky Girl” queens mix extended version alongside rappers BIA, Katie G.B, Maliibu M and JT of City Girls.
