Solange Knowles ‘Likes’ Tweet Claiming Actor Bill Murray Put ‘Both His Hands’ In Her Scalp During A 2016 Appearance On ‘Saturday Night Live’
Bill Murray allegedly put both of his hands in Solange Knowles‘ hair — despite her explicitly singing not to in a prior performance.
The singer-songwriter, who is also Beyoncé Knowles‘ younger sister, appeared to corroborate the allegations over the weekend by merely “liking” a tweet about it. Her alleged awkward encounter with the 72-year-old actor — who is currently at the center of a mountain of accusations from others in the industry — occurred on November 5, 2016, when she made her musical debut on Saturday Night Live.

TV writer and producer Judnick Mayard said,
“Your yearly reminder that i saw Bill Murray put both his hands into Solange’s scalp after asking her three times if her hair was a wig or not.”
It’s worth noting that during the show, which was hosted by Benedict Cumberbatch and featured Bill Murray, Solange Knowles had just finished singing her hits “Don’t Touch My Hair” and “Cranes in the Sky.”
Judnick Mayard added,
“Since the tweet is going around just wanna clear it up: Don’t Touch My Hair is not about Bill Murray. She had just finished performing that song on SNL when he did it. that’s the audacity of whiteness.”
While she didn’t directly confirm the claims, Twitter users quickly noticed Solange Knowles‘ reaction to the tweet, which was definitely all the proof they needed.
The situation may have made her uncomfortable, but it certainly didn’t put a damper on Solange‘s work ethic — or her bag. As previously reported, the Grammy-award winner debuted an original score for the New York City Ballet on September 28. She is only one of three women AND the first Black woman to hold the prestigious honor.
