Nene Leakes – Fans Speculate Ex Reality Star Called Kandi Burruss “A Glorified Teacher’s Pet” After She Denied Claims That Bravo Fostered A Racially Insensitive Work Environment
Reality TV star Nene Leakes is no longer a housewife, but stays in the Bravo mix!
During BravoCon held over the weekend, audience members inquired with the current RHOA cast members whether or not Nene Leakes, 54, will make an iconic return to the series, additionally asking about her recently dismissed lawsuit against the network. After Atlanta Housewives vet Kandi Burruss, 46, who shares an apparent love hate relationship with Leakes, stated she disagreed with her former co-stars accusations, Leakes took to twitter, seemingly to address the comment.
According to reports, Burruss reluctantly answered a BravoCon attendee’s question about if the panel agreed with Leakes’ suit. As previously reported, the TV personality filed a lawsuit against Andy Cohen and Bravo back in April of 2020, accusing them of fostering a racially toxic work environment. In the legal doc, Leaks claimed the network allowed racially charged comments to go unpunished, namely made by her former BFF Kim Zolciak-Biermann, which Kim vehemently denied. The suit was dismissed in August of this year.

Being the only one to offer a response to the question, Burruss stated:
“Realistically, I don’t agree… Everybody can have their own opinion. I did not agree,”

She continued:
“We hate that it turned out that way. We got love for her.”

The panel also reportedly included Drew Sidora, Sheree Whitfield, Marlo Hampton and Sanya Richards-Ross. Seemingly in response to Burruss’ disagreement, Leakes subsequently tweeted:
“A glorified teachers pet”

And followed up with:
“One thing you can’t do is fool the people….Y’all comments be on point am ova here laughing out loud”

Leakes supporters in the comments section quickly speculated Burruss was the “teacher’s pet” in question. Additionally, many showed love to the mother of two and expressed interest in her return to the show. Some even went as far as stating the show has gone down hill since her exit. Fellow RHOA vet Kenya Moore even stated at the network’s conference that she’d like to see Leakes return on the show.

It’s unclear if Leaks will ever return to the show, however, it seems she will remain in the RHOA conversations. Until then it seems the actress will focus on her family as it was previously reported her son recently suffered life threatening illness.
