It looks like Keyshia Cole’s life story will play out on the small screen!
theJasmineBRAND exclusively reports that a Keyshia Cole, 41, Lifetime biopic is on the way. Our insiders also revealed that the network is in pre-production and filming is slated to start at the end of this year.

Keyshia Cole is a singer, songwriter, and television personality. Born and raised in Oakland, California, Cole began her career as a background singer for MC Hammer. After signing with A&M Records, she released her debut studio album, ‘The Way It Is,’ in 2005. The album went on to become certified platinum and garnered two nominations at the 2006 Soul Train Music Awards.
In addition to music, Keyshia Cole starred in the BET reality television series ‘Keyshia Cole: The Way It Is’ (2006–2008), which became one of the most-watched programs in the network’s history.
Dubbed by critics as the “Princess of Hip-Hop Soul,” Keyshia Cole is best known for her soulful voice. Her work has earned her numerous awards and accolades, including an ASCAP Award and a Billboard Music Award. More recently, from 2019 to 2020, she hosted the Fox Soul syndicated television talk show ‘One on One with Keyshia Cole.’
Over the years, Lifetime has been responsible for several biopics including: “The Clark Sisters: First Ladies of Gospel,” “Whitney,” “Toni Braxton: Unbreak My Heart,” and “Aaliyah: The Princess of R&B.”
No word yet on when we can expect to see Keyshia Cole’s biopic.
