Mario Slams Critics Who Say He’s Been ‘Feeling Himself’ Too Much Following ‘Verzuz’ Battle Against Omarion: Some People Love Me & Then Don’t F*ck w/ Me Really Behind Closed Doors

Mario has been “in his bag” and he’s not apologizing for it.

On Sunday afternoon (Nov. 14) R&B singer Mario took to his Instagram story to respond to critics who have been insisting that he’s been “feeling himself” a little too much since he appeared in a ‘Verzuz” battle against Omarion on June 23.

As previously reported, fans seemingly declared Mario,36, the “winner” of the battle, with some viewers claiming Omarion, 38, struggled for the majority of his performance due to his vocals and stage presence.

Addressing his naysayers, the “Let Me Love You” artist wrote:

“I’m an extreme loner… Protect your peace unapologetically. They won’t understand but you don’t owe an explanation.”

Recalling back to when he amazed fans on the “Verzuz” stage in Los Angeles, the songwriter continued:

“Some people keep saying “oh you feeling ya self since VS… Bro I been in my bag! People just paying attention now and I’m grateful to have love and attention, but there is a difference. What I can tell you about me. I’M VERY INTENTIONAL AND I KNOW A LOT ABOUT A LIL BIT OF EVERYTHING that U don’t speak about. Some people love me and then don’t f*ck with me really behind closed doors. Some people love me OUT LOUD. EITHER WAY ALL ENERGY IS DOABLE… LOL PRACTICE MAKES PRECISION. I DON’T FEEL HUMAN ANYMORE.”

He added:

“Lastly… I’m no where near my full potential and I know this. I humbly accept the challenge of being greater.”
