‘Xscape’s’ Kandi Burruss & Latocha Scott Get Into Heated Dispute Following Outfit Mishap During Red Carpet Appearance, Latocha Says She ‘Didn’t Get The Memo’ When It Came To Wardrobe
It looks like there is some tension among the ladies of Xscape!
At this year’s BET Soul Train Awards, which took place on Sunday (Nov. 13), R&B group Xscape made an appearance that left fans confused. During their red carpet moment, many fans wondered why LaTocha Scott — who rocked a bright green gown – wasn’t dressed in coordination with the rest of the group, who all wore similar shades of nude/silver.
Well, on Monday (Nov. 14), LaTocha Scott seemingly addressed the awkward red carpet mishap. The singer took to Instagram to share her gratitude for being honored at the award ceremony and also touched on the elephant in the room. She wrote:
“Still on a high from last night…So Grateful to receive the #LadyOfSoul Award. To still be embraced after 29 years is very humbling. Thank you to all of the Xscape Fans who’ve supported us throughout the years, and Thank you to BET for giving us our flowers. Make sure you tune in to the #SoulTrainAwards on November 26th to see us do our thing.”
“**Sorry, I didn’t get the memo, but everyone still looked amazing”

Real Housewives of Atlanta star and fellow Xscape group member Kandi Burruss also shared a post of her group’s red carpet appearance online while thanking her fans for their support. Despite the post being nothing but positive, things took a left turn in the comment section.
While speaking on LaTocha’s wardrobe choice, a fan chimed in and alluded to the possibility that her group members left her out and did not inform her of the wardrobe coordination. LaTocha replied to the fan and said,
“Thank you!! Because they didn’t tell me anything. It’s more to this than people know.”

It didn’t take long before Kandi Burruss caught wind of the comments and decided to share her side of things. In response to her group member, Kandi said,
“The only thing for people to know is that you chose to have a separate stylist from the rest of the group. You chose to separate yourself do not blame us for that. Stop continuing to put out false narratives.”

Kandi later turned off the comments for her post.
