Shanquella Robinson – FBI Joins Investigation Of Charlotte Woman Found Dead In Mexico w/ Broken Neck

A charlotte family is desperately trying to find answers as to how their 25-year-old daughter wound up dead.

Bernard and Salamondra Robinson are demanding answers in the investigation of their daughter’s death. According to reports, on Oct. 28, Shanquella Robinson left Charlotte, North Carolina to go on a trip with friends to Cabo, Mexico. A day later, she was dead.

On Friday (Nov. 11), Salamondra told sources that she was initially informed her daughter suffered from alcohol poisoning during her trip to Mexico.

“[I] spoke with her Friday evening. She was having dinner and I never spoke with her again. On Saturday evening, they called and said she wasn’t feeling well, and they were going to call a doctor. And when they called, the doctor hadn’t arrived yet, but they said she had alcohol poisoning.”

Shanquella Robinson’s group of friends reportedly left her body in their vacation rental and returned home to the states. Her parents were told that their daughter died from alcohol poisoning, however, an autopsy report says otherwise. According to reports, Robinson suffered from a broken neck and spinal cord injury. Nearly two weeks and $6,000 later, her body is back home, but there are still many questions left unanswered.

Robinson’s parents told WBTV,

“After they said it was alcohol poisoning, we received the autopsy report on Thursday, and it said that her neck had been broken and she had a back spasm. There was a crack, [her] spinal cord was cracked. That took it to a whole ‘nother level because that meant somebody had attacked her.”

The U.S. Department of State issued the following statement after the passing of the young woman:

“We are aware of these reports. Protecting the welfare of U.S. citizens overseas is among our top priorities. Out of respect for the privacy of those involved, we have no further comment at this time.”

According to RadarOnline, the FBI has also recently joined the investigation into the mysterious death of Shanquella Robinson.

Video footage of what appears to be Shanquella Robinson being brutally beaten has surfaced online, leaving many stunned and heartbroken at the tragic incident. Allegedly, in the shocking video, one of the witnesses of the harsh attack can be heard saying,

“Quella can you at least fight back, do something.” 

Reportedly, the FBI told WBTV they “are aware” of the recently emerged video and encourage “anyone with related photos or video to contact the FBI.”
