Wendy Williams — Former TV Host’s Son Is ‘Heartbroken’ Over Their Fractured Relationship, Hasn’t Heard From His Mother Since She Left Rehab
Wendy Williams‘ son, Kevin Jr., is not pleased with the status of their relationship.
The 22-year-old has apparently not spoken to his mother since she left a Malibu rehabilitation center for alcohol treatment a month ago.

According to an inside source,
“Wendy has not reached out to her son since she left the rehab. While she was in treatment, they were talking but the minute she got out the communication stopped.”
The source added,
“Kevin has been through hell this year with everything going on with his mom. It breaks his heart that things seemed to be going well while she was in rehab, but as soon as she got her freedom, she hasn’t reached out to him since. Kevin has been trying to stay focused and finish up his last year of school, but it’s been challenging having to deal with everything going on with his mother.”
Reportedly, Wendy Williams’ relationship with her only child has been rocky over the past year as she has struggled with a number of health issues, including Graves disease, lymphedema, and alcoholism.
Because of her health, Wendy Williams missed the entire final season of her long-running talk show, The Wendy Williams Show.
A year ago, Kevin Jr. allegedly confronted his TV star mother and threatened to cut her out of his life unless she got help. Tommy Williams, Wendy’s brother, alleged over the summer that she had refused to let her son into her penthouse apartment, even though he had flown from Florida to New York City to surprise her for her 58th birthday in July.
Fans also remembered that Kevin Jr. had reportedly taken the responsibility of assisting his mother’s recovery efforts in Florida at the beginning of 2022 after she was spotted in a wheelchair throughout the fall of 2021 in New York City.
Wendy left New York and spent time in Florida with family, including Kevin Jr., who is now left feeling heartbroken over their “fractured” relationship.

Before entering treatment in August for severe alcoholism, Wendy, who had previously claimed to be sober, had a number of alcohol-related public episodes.
Her longtime production firm, Debmar-Mercury, declared earlier this summer that Wendy‘s show had been officially canceled and that Sherri Shepherd, a previous guest host, would take over her time slot.
Wendy has previously stated that she will start a podcast, although it is unknown if any episodes have yet to be recorded.
The troubled TV host still doesn’t have a consistent source of income, as Wells Fargo froze all of her assets in January out of concern for her mental state. In May, she was placed under a financial conservatorship.
