Kanye West Returns To Twitter After His Account Was Restricted Due To Antisemitic Tweets
It looks like Elon Musk is giving everyone their Twitter accounts back!
As you may already know, Elon Musk recently acquired Twitter for a reported $44 billion. Since then, the tech mogul has made headlines multiple times over the questionable changes he’s brought to the platform. Last week #twittershutdown trended as users speculated that Musk’s takeover would be the end of the bird app.
It’s still unclear if Twitter will be around for the long run, but, Musk is making sure that a couple of previously banned users can enjoy the app while it’s seemingly in its final days.

Today (Nov. 20) Kanye West revealed that he’s account was reinstated. He tweeted,
“Testing Testing Seeing if my Twitter is unblocked”

Kanye West was suspended from Twitter for sharing antisemitic comments with his 31.9 million followers. On Oct. 9, he tweeted that he had plans to go “death con 3” on “JEWISH PEOPLE.” That comment, in addition to other concerning remarks he made about the Jewish community, resulted in his Twitter and Instagram accounts being blocked. In addition, he lost his very lucrative deals with Adidas, Gap, Balenciaga, and Vogue.

Kanye isn’t the only person who Musk gave their account back to. According to reports, Donald Trump is also back on Twitter. As you may recall, Trump was permanently banned from Twitter, and other social media apps, for his involvement in the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol. The social media platform announced the ban Friday, Jan. 8. The statement said:
“After close review of recent Tweets from the @realDonaldTrump account and the context around them we have permanently suspended the account due to the risk of further incitement of violence.”
