Michelle Obama Reveals ‘RHOP’ & ‘RHOA’ Are Her Favorite ‘ Real Housewives’ Installments
Looks like even the former F.L.O.T.U.S. enjoys a little reality TV drama.
During a recent interview with award-winning broadcaster Gayle King, former First Lady Michelle Obama dished about who her favorite housewives are.
After King asked Mrs. Obama which of the “Real Housewives” series is her favorite, Obama replied:
“Oh man you know, I wanna say Potomac…I just don’t like it when sisters are arguing with each other I just don’t like to see that on TV.”
Michelle Obama went on to joke that it’s “ok when white women fight” on TV. She continued and noted that ‘RHOA’ has a special place in her heart too.
“I like Potomac and Atlanta.”

As you may already know, other “Real Housewives branches” include locations in Orange County, New York, New Jersey, D.C., Beverly Hills, Miami, Dallas, and Salt Lake City. Most recently, the Bravo network added to its international installments with “The Real Housewives Of Dubai.”
Potomac and Atlanta are arguably the franchise’s biggest installments. “RHOP” is currently in its seventh season and stars internet favorites such as Ashley Darby, Gizelle Bryant, Robin Dixon, and Candiace Dillard-Bassett.
“RHOA” may feature some of the most well-known “Real Housewives” stars. The peach state series is gearing up for its 14th season and stars cast members such as Kandi Burruss, Kenya Moore, Drew Sidora, and Sheree Whitfield. Previous stars of the show included Nene Leakes, Kim Zolciak-Biermann, Phaedra Parks, and Porsha Williams.
Michelle Obama made headlines earlier this week for another of her revelations. She revealed that during her time in the White House she opted to avoid getting braids in her hair out of fear of making the country uncomfortable. Michelle Obama was the acting First Lady alongside her husband Barack Obama during his two presidential terms from 2009 – 2017. While speaking on the decision to keep her hair straight, she said,
“The code of ethics at a workplace, as black women we deal with it, the whole thing about, ‘Do you show up with your natural hair?’….I would get my staff all worried, too. I was like, ‘I was thinking about getting braids.’”
She added that she kept her hair straight to keep the focus on politics as much as possible.
