Rihanna Will Be The Focus Of An Apple TV+ Documentary Chronicling Her Comeback To The Stage

Rihanna has landed a multimillion-dollar deal with Apple TV+ to produce a documentary chronicling her comeback to the stage ahead of her halftime performance at Super Bowl LVII!

According to reports, Rihanna inked a deal with the streaming service following her reemergence on the music charts last month with her single Lift Me Up for the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever soundtrack.

A music industry insider told sources:

“There is a massive appetite for everything to do with Rihanna, especially as this will be her major return to the stage for the first time in years. Rihanna is a massive force to be reckoned with when it comes to music and so Apple has paid millions.”

As for what to expect from the documentary, the insider said that the Grammy-winning artist,

“will be recorded during rehearsals and meetings in the lead-up to the big night and give an insight into what her life is really like now [that] she is returning to pop as a mom.”

Rihanna gave birth to her first child earlier this year with rapper ASAP Rocky.

Reportedly, the new parents have been blissfully happy since the birth of their son. Rihanna spoke about the ups and downs of her motherhood journey during a recent interview at her Savage X Fenty Volume 4 premiere. A source reportedly close to the couple recently stated that the famed singer can definitely see herself bearing more of Rocky’s children in the future. They reportedly stated:

“Rihanna and A$AP are so in love and have the best time together….They are also a great team when it comes to being parents to their baby boy. Rihanna always dreamed of being a mom and she takes a lot of pride in it. She would love to have more children with A$AP in the future.”

The ‘Bad Gal’ was ambushed by paparazzi shortly after the Super Bowl news was announced, where she admitted to being nervous about the performance and confirmed the hesitation still exists more recently. She stated:

“I can’t believe I even said yes….It was one of those things that like, even when I announced it I was like, ‘I can’t take it back now. It’s final…..What did I just get myself into?’”

She continued:

“The Super Bowl is one of the biggest stages in the world. It’s an entertainer’s dream to be on the stage like that, but it’s nerve-racking. You wanna get it right. You know everybody’s watching. And they’re rooting for you, and I wanna get it right. It’s a challenge I was willing to accept. Being a new mom, nothing would have gotten me out of the house if it wasn’t a challenge like that.”

The “Diamonds” entertainer was announced in September as the featured performer in the show produced by Apple Music and Jay-Z’s Roc Nation. Executive producer Jay-Z said in a statement:

“Rihanna is a generational talent, a woman of humble beginnings who has surpassed expectations at every turn. A person born on the small island of Barbados who became one of the most prominent artists ever. Self-made in business and entertainment.”

Super Bowl LVII is set to be held at Glendale, Arizona’s State Farm Stadium on February 12, 2023.
