Saweetie Denies Bashing Quavo & Lil Baby On New Single ‘Don’t Say Nothin’: Ain’t Nobody Diss’n Them Boys
Saweetie is setting the record straight about rumors surrounding her latest single.
According to reports, rap artist Saweetie has denied allegations that she seemingly dissed Quavo and Lil Baby on “Don’t Say Nothin,” the track from her recently released “The Single Life” EP.
During an Instagram Live session earlier this week, the Bay Area rapper addressed “untrue” rumors about the song. Although she didn’t name names, Saweetie dismissed the idea that she was talking about the Atlanta rappers.

Saweetie, born Diamonté Harper shared,
“Ain’t nobody dissing nobody. When I went on Caresha Please, I told y’all, whoever’s on ‘Don’t Say Nothin,’ whoever that messaging was towards, it wasn’t toward nobody.”
She clarified and added,
“Ain’t nobody dissing them boys. So you can kill them rumors and kill that because y’all don’t even know who I’m talking about.”

As you may recall, the song was released on November 18 — just days after Quavo’s nephew’s funeral, Takeoff — who was shot and killed in Houston on November 1. The track caused a stir of controversy, as many said it was “too soon” for a song “dissing her ex.”

Quavo, Takeoff
On the rap tune, Saweetie seemingly addresses the rumors of Quavo being upset because Lil Baby allegedly took her on a 100k shopping spree last year. She raps,
“A hunnid K, please, know how much paper I be touchin’ on?/That’s light, better check my net worth/Post a pic in his sweatshirt, I bet it have my ex hurt.”

Lil Baby
One critic of Saweetie’s new music debut is podcast host Joe Budden.
As previously reported, during an episode of Joe Budden’s podcast, the “Pump It Up” rapper called out Saweetie for her alleged bars directed toward Quavo. Joe Budden said,

Quavo, Offset, Saweetie
After his co-host said his remarks come at a bad time, the 42-year-old continued,
“Which is why it’s bad timing for whatever she was saying in that freestyle. It ain’t the time for your freestyle because what I heard, I honestly didn’t really hear nothin’ directed to Quavo. Like I just keep hearing Lil Baby and I think people keep confusing it with Quavo, like they did last time.”
The New Jersey native went on,
“Either way, it ain’t the time for confusion. It ain’t the time for none of that after they just lost their brother and nephew. It ain’t the time for that, sorry Saweetie. Yeah, push it back, you been quiet. No need to come shake the table now, I hate Hip-Hop.”
Budden added,
“And did you f*ck dude or not? If you gon’ tell it, then tell it. If not…”
