Ray J & Princess Love Headed To Trial As They Fail To Reach Settlement In Bitter Divorce Battle

New details have emerged regarding Ray J and Princess Love’s split.

The former lovers are headed to trial in their ongoing divorce battle after mediation ended in failure, according to RadarOnline.

The pair — which shares daughter Melody Love Norwood, 4, and son Epik Ray Norwood, 2 — were mandated to participate in a parenting program as part of the case. The document does however, state that no agreement was made despite the program being finished.

Ray J filed for divorce in October 2021, following two previous failed attempts to end their relationship for good. In court documents, the younger brother of singer/actress Brandy Norwood listed their marriage date as August 12, 2016, and their separation date was “TBD.”

The former Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood requested that the court end Princess Love‘s eligibility for spousal support, noting that they signed a prenuptial agreement before getting married. He requested the judge give him every penny he made prior to, during, and following the marriage.

Princess Love responded by requesting joint legal and physical custody of their two children. She asked the judge to disregard Ray J and give her spousal support instead.

Fans have been perplexed by Ray J and Princess‘ on-again, off-again relationship, which played out on LHHH. Princess previously declared she was open to a reconciliation, saying,

“You never know. The door is always open. We love each other but when you stop trying you have to do what you have to do.”

But it looks like things are really over for the pair.

The trial date for their divorce proceedings will be decided at a hearing that the court has set for March.
