Meek Mill Slams Kanye West For Laughing At Him On Clubhouse: I Still Have My Family, My People Respect Me

Meek Mill isn’t here for any of Kanye West’s jokes, and he’s making that perfectly clear!

Over the weekend, Kanye West hopped on Clubhouse with music manager/executive Wack 100, and it seems that the fellas shared a few laughs that didn’t quite sit well with Meek Mill.

In recent tweets, Meek Mill responded to Kanye West, mentioning the designer’s current divorce and loss of regard in the hip-hop game.

He said:

“Never lost my mind for fame or money … I still have my family …my people respect me … I’m freeing people from prison…”

Further, he indicated that he was unbothered and enjoying time with his son at the moment.

“I’m doing community service all month with children up close and personal .. I’m chilling wit my son and his friends today.. y’all on clubhouse at 50 lol. I mean 50 on clubhouse drawing and not doing any positive wit ya following at that age is hittttt… you can be old or young on clubhouse it’s a place to connect!”

If you didn’t know, amid West and Wack 100’s now-viral conversation on the audio-based app, West spoke about his decision to rock his infamous ‘White Lives Matter’ T-shirt (at a Yeezy fashion show in Paris), which sparked mayhem back in October.

However, in doing so, the 45-year-old slammed some of his celebrity colleagues who spoke out against the controversial matter, and Meek Mill’s comments just so happened to be the topic of discussion.

When speaking on the Philly-born lyricist’s mention of him, West found it comical that Mill even had something to say about his actions. He said,

“What made somebody think Meek Mill could say something to me? What made [them think that]? No! This is the funniest thing of everything!”

The ‘Donda 2’ rapper continued,

“Yo, man, I’m ’bout to start crying laughing, man! Somebody thought Meek Mill [could tell me something]?! Sorry! I’m sorry!”

Wack 100 then chimed in and (seemingly) warned West of Mill’s “gangster” activities.

“Meek’s a gangster! Meek’s a gangster, gang! Meek is a gangster, man!”

West pettily added, proceeding to uncontrollably cackle:

“No, I’m literally in tears! Yo! Okay, hold on, hold on! Okay, that was not my joke, but, somehow, that part was really funny to me.”

The remarks that West is referring to stemmed from a previous statement that Mill posted to his social media, where he called out West’s perceived “anti-Blackness” and the shots that he took at him in an older interview.

A couple of months ago, Mill reposted a clip of West’s ill words toward him on his Instagram Story. The short video showed West alluding to Mill “hypocritically” rapping about “things that could get you locked up” and then advocating for prison reform.

Mill wrote in the caption,

“I used to listen to ye every night [in] jail for motivation on god! and came home and watched him sh*t on my name and brand like nothing …. I ain’t say nothing … but I been knew you was on that nerd tryna sh*t on street N*ggas yo just said it to boosie.”

The 35-year-old went on to assure that his beef had nothing to do with needing features.

“It hurts my heart to even know some of y’all this crazy and lame… ion need no verses from no n*ggas because I been hot since 13 ..”

He concluded his remarks by elaborating on his disappointment in West and how he’s been moving throughout the industry lately.

“I got off person not fame for money… Speaking from a n*gga that been buying [and supporting] ye since he came out .. but what you be doing for fame driving you crazy … look how hard you at me n*ggas know I’m vocal it’s like you hate your own people.”

Additionally, during a visit to Drink Champs, West alleged that Mill worked with the feds in order to stay out of jail.

Of course, the “In A Minute” rhymer didn’t take that too lightly, and he had some things to say to West in his “God Did” freestyle that dropped in November.

“I will never sell my soul for money like I’m Kanye / It’s crazy I used to bring you on my cell house on lock day / Famous b*tches got my idols lookin’ at me sideways /I don’t need no verses from you n*ggas, I did it my way.”
