Ben Simmons Seemingly Denies Relationship w/ Megan Thee Stallion After Tory Lanez’s Defense Team Claimed She Was Involved w/ The NBA Star

Ben Simmons is defending himself amid Tory Lanez’s high-profile assault case.

According to reports, the Brooklyn Nets player has got caught up in the middle of the trial where Tory Lanez, born Daystar Shemuel Shua Peterson, is being accused of shooting Megan Thee Stallion in the feet in 2020 following an argument.

On Monday (Dec. 12) the defense gave their opening statements where they addressed the jurors claiming that Megan Thee Stallion’s ex-best friend Kelsey Nicole fired the shots, after an argument between the two women transpired. The defense alleged the argument stemmed from the rapper’s bad habit of hooking up with men Kelsey Nicole has been with, using Ben Simmons as an example.

However, Ben Simmons seemingly denied the accusations — without naming the artists directly — by posting a video on his Instagram story of Rick Ross screaming:

“Accusations. These are false accusations!” 

Although the trial has just started, it appears that the defense’s strategy is to convince the jurors that it was Kelsey Nicole who shot Megan Thee Stallion and not Tory Lanez. However, prosecutors claim that the Canadian rapper fired five shots on the evening of July 12, 2020, striking Megan in both feet after she insulted his musical talent.
