50 Cent Set To Produce U.K. Based Boxing Drama ‘Fight Land’ w/ Starz, Despite Having Multiple Grievances w/ The Network: This Was The Last Show
Entertainment mogul 50 Cent is gearing up for his “last” production with the Starz network.
The rapper-turned-actor announced the new project, promptly clarifying the series is the last show he pitched before his deal with Starz ended.

Promoting the upcoming series, Curtis ‘50 Cent’ Jackson posted the announcement article on his Instagram with the caption:
“BOOM Another one GLG GreenLightGang FIGHT LAND UK based show drill sh*t !”

After many of the entrepreneur’s 28.6 million followers called him out for claiming he was done with the network, 50 followed up with:
“This was the last show i had to pitch to STARZ first before my deal ended. FIGHT LAND!”
As previously reported, 50 has had ongoing issues while producing many hits for the network conglomerate. Earlier this year, the EP called for a streaming boycott, due to the network not immediately renewing his mega-popular series. Reportedly, some of Starz’s biggest ratings as of late can be credited to 50’s executive-produced series “Power” and its additional installments. Additionally, 50 produced the series “BMF” on Starz, which is currently in its second season.

During his partnership, the “Candy Shop” rapper has threatened to leave the network multiple times due to delayed pickups and production disagreements. Ultimately, 50 announced back in September that he was officially walking away from Starz. In an Instagram post announcing the decision, he wrote:
“09-17-22 official day of really owning my content & deciding where and how i do it moving forward!!! GLG GreenLightGang bulls eye we don’t miss BOOM”

However, it seems the entertainer has some unfinished business before his days at Starz are truly over. As far as his upcoming series goes, the drama will reportedly be about a “disgraced” boxer seeking retribution. The logline of the series reads:
“[Fight Land] follows a retired disgraced world champion fighter drawn into the corrupt underbelly of the sport after the disappearance of his childhood best friend and training partner. To save his friend, the troubled fighter will have to return to a way of life that nearly destroyed him – one that cost him everything to leave behind.”
The release date has yet to be announced.
