Matt Barnes Proposes To Long-Term Girlfriend Anansa Sims! [PHOTOS]

Matt Barnes made things official during the holiday season with Anansa Sims.

On Monday (Dec. 26) Anansa Sims took to Instagram to share photos of her now-fiancé, Matt Barnes, down on one knee as he asked for her hand in marriage.

Good news, she said yes! 

Their engagement comes after a series of ups and downs during their relationship. Former basketball player, Matt Barnes, initially met Anansa Sims during their college years at UCLA. Reportedly, they reconnected in 2017 and welcomed their son, Ashton, in 2019. However, in 2020 the love birds temporarily called things off. 

As previously reported, they blasted each other publically amid Sims filing a restraining order against Barnes. Later on, Barnes issued an apology for acting out with his emotions, which seemingly helped reconcile their relationship. 

Barnes, 42, shares twin sons, Isiah and Carter, with his ex-wife, “Basketball Wives” star Gloria Govan who is married to his old teammate Derek Fisher. Sims has three children, Ava Brielle, David Bernard, and Benjamin, whom she shares with her ex-husband David Patterson.
