Bill Cosby might be going on tour!

The controversial comedian, once praised as “America’s Favorite Dad,” is looking to return to his field following several allegations of sexual assault from multiple women and a prison stint. During a surprise Dec. 28 radio interview, Bill Cosby, 85, said,

“When I come out of this, I feel that I will be able to perform and be the Bill Cosby that my audience knows me to be.”

In response to whether 2023 may be a year for touring, Bill Cosby replied,

“Yes. Yes, because there’s so much fun to be had in this storytelling that I do. Years ago, maybe 10 years ago, I found it was better to say it after I write it.”

Cosby was found guilty of a felony sexual assault charge in Pennsylvania in April 2018. He spent nearly three years in prison before being freed in 2021 after the Supreme Court overturned his conviction. Earlier this year, the Pennsylvania native was found liable by a California jury in a civil case of sexually abusing a then-teenage girl in 1975.

And as previously reported, five more women have launched a lawsuit against Cosby and NBC, which served as the studio for the hit sitcom “The Cosby Show.” Lili BernardEden TirlJewel GittensJennifer Thompson, and former Hollywood producer Cindra Ladd claim Cosby either sexually assaulted them or coerced them into having sex.

Four of the allegations are from the late 1980s or early 1990s when the actor’s career was at its peak as the star of “The Cosby Show.” The lawsuit was made possible by a New York state statute that temporarily suspends the statute of limitations for prior sexual assault claims.

The comedian is “looking at spring/summer to start touring,” according to Cosby’s agent Andrew Wyatt.
