SZA’s Producer Attacked By Taylor Swift Fans After He Claims Swift Tried ‘To Block History’ As ‘S.O.S’ Holds The Top Spot On Billboard Charts For 4th Straight Week
No producer working against Taylor Swift shall prosper as long as her fan base is involved, and that includes ThankGod4Cody (real name Cody Jordan Fayne).
As SZA continues to hold the top spot on the Billboard 200 chart for a fourth consecutive week, the Los Angeles-based producer posted on social media to congratulate her on the success of her second studio album, S.O.S.

S.O.S features seven tracks produced by ThankGod4Cody, who was also crucial in the delivery of her debut album, Ctrl.
In a post shared to his Instagram Story, ThankGod4Cody seemingly shaded Taylor Swift and said,
“4 weeks is #1 is WILD. That other lady [Taylor Swift] was really trynna block history but No Ma’am !”
He also shared a post to his timeline, with a caption that read:
“Spent these last couple years finishing projects that’d I’d be sure to be proud of when I drop them. Art that properly represents how great me and the ppl that helped put it together are at what we do! So this year I’m moving freely w no fear of judgement, and not listening to anybody trying to tell me how to properly create a buzz.”
Cody added,
“Idgaf about rules & etiquette. I’m putting out this trilogy just for ppl to take in and 4 it to hopefully affect their lives in a positive way. I appreciate all the messages since Cody of Naz pushing me to drop more ! It’s finally coming all this year !”
Taylor Swift’s fans wasted no time letting him know that their leader is the wrong woman to come for.
Cody even shared one of the comments to his Story, adding that he was only joking when he said Taylor Swift tried to block history. He said,
“lol I don’t want the smoke. It was joke and I’m all about peace Swifties! I like Taylor & her music. We’re both from [the] same place !”
SZA (real name Solána Imani Rowe) previously shared that she was shocked by the success of her long-overdue sophomore album, which was released on Dec. 9.
She said,
“I never thought in a million years that people would like it.”
The 33-year-old continued:
“My dad’s visiting right now, with my mom. Everybody came down to make sure I didn’t lose my mind if the album went bad once it came out. And now we’re just hanging out, ’cause it didn’t go badly!”
The “I Hate U” singer revealed that she felt doubt prior to her album’s release but decided to just “get it over with.” She added:
“It happened probably just a few times, like maybe up until the last week, when I texted [my label] and was like, ‘We don’t have to put this out. We could just pull out and move it to January. We can just let this go.’ And then part of me was just like, I just wanna get it over with. I wanna meet my own fate. If n—– hate it, then great. I can never do music again. And I told my engineer, we’ll move to India, and we’ll live on an ashram, and we’ll take a vow of silence, and that’s it… And it is also really scary that it didn’t go that way because I’m like, now what do I do? And what does this actually mean and when do the tides turn? When does everyone decide that they hate me again or that this sucks?”
