Gizelle Bryant Says ‘RHOP’ Co-Star Candiace Dillard Bassett Wants To ‘Always Be A Victim’ + Confirms They Are No Longer Friends

“Real Housewives of Potomac” star Gizelle Bryant is not afraid to share her truth against her former friend Candiace Dillard Bassett.

During a recent interview, the reality TV star made some choice comments about fellow cast member Candiace Dillard Bassett, accusing her of continuously playing the victim.

As previously reported, Bryant and Dillard Bassett have been warring with one another since the former accused the latter’s husband Chris Bassett of making her feel “uncomfortable.” The drama kicked off early this season on the popular Bravo series, with Dillard Bassett blowing up at her co-star and producers for seemingly targeting her husband with false accusations.

However, during a recent interview, Bryant claimed her ex-friend simply loves being a victim, reportedly stating:

“Candiace wants to always be a victim. We’re no longer friends, so I don’t feel like I need to hold back anything anymore.”

She continued:

“What happened happened, and it was unfortunate, and no one’s going to tell me how to feel in a situation like that,” 

According to Bryant, when she brought the situation to Dillard Bassett, she carefully picked her words in hopes of not offending her co-star. Still, the “Drive Back” singer did not take kindly to her husband being accused of inappropriate forwardness. Especially since Bryant added that Chris Bassett didn’t necessarily “say or do” anything wrong.

However, during her recent interview, Bryant explained why she feels Dillard Bassett blew things out of proportion.

“Because I know Candiace is very sensitive, and she can be a bit dramatic, I was very careful to choose my words carefully with her. At that time, she and I were friends. So I wasn’t going to say anything that was going to be super inflammatory and hurt her, but she took it to a whole other level of nonsense.”

The podcast host also commented about her co-star bashing her character in recent interviews. Dillard Bassett previously spoke with reality producer Carlos King about the allegations against her husband, stating:

“It also just kind of gave me; okay, this is excess, flirtatious energy coming from a woman who doesn’t have that at home. This is just something that she does. Gizelle has a history and there is a reputation there of her being fast in her past and her being loose in her past. These are facts, I’m not making this up.”

Bryant addressed her co-star’s remarks and said:

“I think that she has taken the position of, ‘Oh, I’m just going to deflect, I’m going to speak about Gizelle and try to trash Gizelle,’ as opposed to talking to your husband. Like why would your husband even do that? Let’s start there,”
