Odell Beckham Jr. — Newly Released Bodycam Footage Of Athlete Being Removed From Plane Shows Dispute He Had w/ Another Passenger: You’re Everything Wrong w/ The World
More details have recently surfaced surrounding Odell Beckham Jr.’s removal from an American Airlines plane.
Bodycam footage, captured by Miami-Dade Police, of the free agent being removed from his flight on Nov. 27 has made its way onto social media this week. According to the American Airlines crew on the Los Angeles-bound plane, Odell Beckham Jr. “appeared to be in and out of consciousness” as they attempted to wake him to have him fasten his seatbelt before takeoff. However, after the famed athlete allegedly denied their request, attendants contacted the police, asking for his removal.
The newly released video footage seemingly shows an unhappy Odell Beckham Jr. talking with authorities. The 30-year-old says:
“I’ve never had this happen to me.”
The officer on the scene left Beckham with no choice but to depart the plane.
“We’re going to have to deplane everybody on this plane, and then you’re still going to get off.”
Seemingly unbothered, the former New York Giants player replies:
“That’s fine.”
However, as another passenger grabbed their luggage to evacuate the plane, things took a left turn. The unnamed person reportedly tells Beckham to get off the plane and he replies:
“You’re everything wrong with the world.”
He continues
“Looking at me to get off a plane, for you — I would never, ever in my life get off the plane for you. Specifically you. Maybe everybody else, I would get off the plane.”
Implying that he didn’t need American Airlines to get to his destination, Beckham brags:
“You gon’ wait 40 minutes and I’m going to be on a private plane home. Yeah, with your fat *ss. Get your *ss off the plane for a second.”
He adds:
“Enjoy the cheese board on the way home with your ugly *ss.”

After police escorted the NFL player off the plane, he took to Twitter to presumably respond to what occurred at Miami-International airport. He wrote:
“Never in my life have I experienced what just happened to me… I’ve seen it alll..”
In a follow-up tweet, the Los Angeles native said:
“Comedy hr.”
Miami-Dade Police Department previously issued a statement after Beckham made headlines about the incident. The statement read:
“At approximately 9:30 a.m., officers from Miami-Dade Police Department, were dispatched to a medical emergency at an American Airlines flight,” police told NFL Network in a statement. “The flight crew was concerned for a passenger (Mr. Odell Beckham), as they tried to wake him to fasten his seat belt, he appeared to be coming in and out of consciousness, prior to their departure. Fearing that Mr. Beckham was seriously ill, and that his condition would worsen through the expected 5 hour flight, the attendants called for police and fire rescue. Upon the officers arrival, the flight crew asked Mr. Beckham several times to exit the aircraft, which he refused.”
The statement added:
“The aircraft was deplaned, at which time Mr. Beckham was asked by the officers to exit the plane, and did so without incident. Mr. Beckham was escorted to the non-secure area of the terminal by the officers where he made other arrangements.”
The next day (Nov. 28) Beckham took to Twitter to respond to a fan implying that he was selfish and his actions resulted in hundreds of people getting denied transportation home. He explained:
“Had to deal wit the inconvenience of having to get off the plane and a huddle and day would be ruined… so yea , literally feel asleep before take off. To be woken up to tell me that they couldn’t wake me up. Just make it make sense if ur gonna speak bullshxt on my name.”
The craziness of the plane debacle has seemingly made Beckham rethink the way he travels. The wide receiver took a private plane to Los Angeles on Jan. 1, dodging the airport by any means necessary. Beckham took to his Instagram story to share a video of himself with his seatbelt in his hand, captioning the post,
“Not today! Back to the regular.”
