Ne-Yo & Crystal Renay Finalized Divorce Six Months After Separation

Ne-Yo and Crystal Renay are officially divorced.

According to reports, R&B singer Ne-Yo, real name Shaffer Smith, and his now ex-wife, Crystal Renay Smith, finalized their divorce on January 26. A judge in the Superior Court of Fulton County in Georgia’s Family Division determined “a total divorce” should “be granted.”

As part of their divorce settlement, Crystal Renay will reportedly receive a one-time payment of $1.6 million for their property, along with one of the four homes they shared in Georgia. She will also get $20,000 to cover moving costs. Ne-Yo will obtain their 2022 Bentley Bentayga, in exchange, he will give Crystal $150,000 to purchase her own vehicle, reports state.

Reportedly, Crystal will receive $12,000 a month for the three children she and Ne-Yo share for child support. Ne-Yo will also pay school fees. In addition, the mother-of-three will get $5,000 a month in alimony for three years. The exes also agreed not to bring any romantic partners around their children unless they are engaged, married, or get the okay from one another.

According to reports, Crystal previously filed for divorce last August, four months after the pair renewed their vows in a romantic red-themed ceremony in Las Vegas.

Around the time she filed for divorce, Crystal accused Ne-Yo of cheating on her for eight years. As previously reported, in an emotional post shared to Instagram last July, Crystal claimed the “So Sick” singer was a narcist, who subjected her to “eight years of lies and deception.” She also said he solicited unprotected sex from prostitutes. She wrote,

“8 years of lies and deception. 8 years of unknowingly sharing my life and husband with numerous of women who sell their bodies to him unprotected … every last one of them! To say I’m heartbroken and disgusted is an understatement. To ask me to stay and accept it is absolutely insane. The mentality of a narcissist.”

The entrepreneur continued,

“I will no longer lie to the public or pretend that this is something it isn’t. I choose me, I choose my happiness and health and my respect. I gained 3 beautiful children out of this but nothing else but wasted years and heartache.” 

She added,

“I ask that you all please stop sending me videos or information of him cheating because what he does is no longer my concern. I am not a victim. I’m choosing to stand tall with my head held high. If someone can’t love you the way you deserve then it’s up to you to love yourself. With no hate in my heart I wish him nothing but the best. ~ Crystal Renay” 

Crystal, 37, and Ne-Yo, 43, reportedly married in February 2016 and share three children: 19-month-old daughter Isabella Rose, as well as sons Roman Alexander-Raj, 4½, and Shaffer Chimere Jr., 6.
