Larsa Pippen Reveals How She First Met Marcus Jordan, Says She Initially Was Trying To Set Him Up w/ Her Friends
Larsa Pippen is getting candid about her relationship with Marcus Jordan.
In a recent interview on Way Up With Angela Yee, Larsa Pippen shared some intimate details about her controversial relationship with Michael Jordan’s son, Marcus Jordan. During the sit-down, Larsa revealed how they first met and shut down the misconception that they’ve known each other their whole lives.
“We met at a party four years ago and I feel like a lot of people wanna spin things like, ‘Oh they’ve known each other their whole life’ and I’m like by the way, we did not. I just met him four years ago. When his dad and Scottie played together, his mom and dad were not together, I was in college so we missed each other. We missed that little era.”
As you may know, the 48-year-old reality TV star was married to former NBA star Scottie Pippen and she recently began dating Marcus Jordan, 32. Basketball legends Michael Jordan, 60, and Scottie Pippen, 57, previously played for the Chicago Bulls together.

According to Larsa, she and Marcus were just friends in the beginning, in fact, the reality star tried to set him up on dates with her friends.
“We were friends. We met four years ago. We had mutual friends so we were in the same group a lot. It’s funny because I was trying to set him up with all my friends. I was literally telling my friends you gotta make time to meet him, he’s so cute…I would hype him up to all my friends, I’m like ‘he’s a great guy.'”

Host Angela Yee then jokingly asked Marcus–who was also present for the interview–if this was a part of his game plan all along.
He replied,
“No, there was no goal. We were like best friends.”
Larsa then cosigned and explained the things they have in common.
“We really are. We just have fun together. We have a lot of similarities. We’re both from Chicago, we both love basketball, we both love business stuff, we’re both very family oriented. We have a lot of similar things, like upbringings.”
When asked when did things shift to a romantic relationship, Larsa said,
“We honestly were hanging out as friends and then like, the more and more we spent time together it was just inevitable….I’m lucky, I get to hang out with my best friend”
