Ari Lennox Shoots Her Shot At Disney For Chance To Star In Rumored Live-Action Remake Of ‘The Princess And The Frog’

Ari Lennox has dreams of being a Disney princess!

On Monday (Mar. 20) soul singer Ari Lennox took to Instagram to share a video of her (unofficial) audition for the starring role in Disney’s rumored live-action remake of “The Princess and The Frog.” Ari Lennox wore her hair in a wash-and-go curly style. She paired the look with a matching tan top and skirt set and black thigh-high boots.

The 31-year-old artist used Anika Noni Rose’s “Almost There” to audition for a spot in the speculated film.

She captioned her post,

“Hi @Disney I’m Ari Lennox and I would love an opportunity to audition for Princess and The Frog in person. Here’s #AlmostThere By Anika Noni Rose”

Reportedly, the remake rumor — which has taken on a life of its own on social media — started after a Disney-themed podcast claimed the famed studio was in pre-production for a reboot of the 2009 “The Princess and the Frog” animation film.

As you may know, “The Princess and the Frog” is an animated musical romantic comedy that focuses on the life of a waitress named Tiana who has dreams of owning her own restaurant. Unfortunately, during the film, Tiana turns into a frog and goes on the tough journey of returning to her human form before the curse becomes permanent.

After sharing her audition submission, fans flooded Ari’s comments with moral support as they backed her for being the perfect person for the rumored upcoming film.
