Update: (Mar. 28, 2023): Brittney Taylor is speaking out amid reports that she physically abused her kids’ father.

The former reality star recently went live and claimed that she’s actually the victim in the situation. She said,

“I have been beaten for three years straight. I don’t come to the internet. I don’t even tell the cops, nothing, because I’m f*cking traumatized.”

She continued,

“God forbid I go tell the cops this man is beating my *ss, the whole world is gonna call me a rat.” 

During the live stream, the “Pop Suttin” rapper shared images of bruises she allegedly received as a result of her ex, Afeez, putting his hands on her.

She said,

“This man is sitting here playing victim after beating my *ss.” 

Brittney Taylor then shared her version of what went down moments before she allegedly struck Afeez with a bat. According to the entertainer, she agreed that her ex’s mother could pick up their children but was shocked when he arrived at her home, alongside his mother, for pick-up duties. Despite her best efforts to ignore Afeez, things went south. Brittney Taylor added,

“Let’s be real, we know how these Nigerian men can get!”

She also expressed that despite what reports are claiming, she “never” hit him with a bat.

Original story: (Mar. 28, 2023): Former “Love & Hip Hop: New York” star Brittney Taylor has been arrested after allegedly assaulting her kids’ father with a baseball bat.

According to law enforcement sources, Brittney Taylor got into a physical altercation earlier this month with Afeez– the father of her 2-year-old and 8-month-old. She allegedly turned herself in last week after a warrant was issued for her arrest.

Sources say the altercation took place after Afeez flew to New York to see his children amid an ongoing feud between him and Brittney. As he and his mother were leaving the apartment with the children, Brittney allegedly attacked him.

According to the criminal complaint, obtained by TMZ,  Brittney punched him in the face while his kids were present. While Afeez attempted to leave the residence, Brittney allegedly followed him out with a baseball bat, hitting him and leaving him with a laceration and significant facial bleeding.

As a result, Afeez had to go to the hospital for stitches needed for a cut above his eye. Brittney Taylor has now been charged with two counts of assault, one count of endangering the welfare of a child, and one count of criminal possession of a weapon.

Last week, Afeez took to Instagram to share that he had recently been assaulted. Although he didn’t name Brittney as the assailant, many fans assumed she was the culprit.

He wrote,

“Domestic violence against men is real and should be taken seriously. I’ve been bullied way too long. This is one instance of what happened when I flew to NYC to see my kids…Never again.”
