Swae Lee – Fight Breaks Out After Coachella’s Security Blocks Rapper From Entering Festival w/ His Newborn Son Because They Didn’t Recognize Him
Things got a little rocky for Swae Lee and his entourage at Coachella over the weekend.
A recently released video shows Swae Lee and his team getting into a brawl with security moments before the rapper’s Coachella performance. Unfortunately, at the time of the incident, Swae Lee was accompanied by his newborn son.

According to reports, the festival’s security didn’t recognize Swae Lee and tried to deny him and his team entry at a checkpoint behind the stage, which prompted the altercation. In the footage, Swae Lee — who is a member of the rap group Rae Sremmurd, is knocked back against a tall white fence. The footage also shows his team making sure his young son is protected throughout the crazy dispute. Someone in the clip can be heard yelling at security,
“get your f*cking hands off the f*cking baby!”

Security who didn’t recognize Swae allegedly began pressing and then attacking his crew as they tried to make their way in. Swae’s people managed to get them out unharmed.

Management for the 29-year-old spoke out against the incident and explained to TMZ:
“As Swae Lee attempted to enter the festival with his newborn son and working crew, overzealous security guards confronted them. As 1/2 of Rae Sremmurd, he was due to perform on Coachella’s Outdoor Theatre stage at 5:55 PM. Security claimed not to recognize the talent and then aggressively initiated contact as they attempted to make their way to the stage.”
The statement continued:
“The security guards, which we presume are independent contractors, are seen clearly being the aggressors and then throwing gang signs at the end of the video in a celebration.”
After everything was settled, Swae and his group member/brother Slim Jxmmi took the stage.

Reportedly, the artist and his son left the show without any injuries. The scuffle seemingly didn’t get to Swae and he eventually took to Twitter to thank his fans for turning up during his performance. He wrote:
“Coachella thank you so much week 2 was a movie.”
