Ice Spice Reportedly Invited To Met Gala By Anna Wintour As Vogue Special Guest

Rising artist Ice Spice will reportedly be at this year’s Met Gala after receiving an exclusive invitation.

According to reports, rapper Ice Spice, 23, was personally invited to attend fashion’s biggest night, the 2023 Met Gala, by the Editor-in-Chief of Vogue Anna Wintour. The prestigious event will take place today (May 1) in New York City.

As you may already know, Anna Wintour is in charge of the guest list and reportedly has the final say over who will be attending.

Reports state that Ice Spice, real name Isis Gaston, was invited by Anna Wintour as a guest of Vogue. The “Princess Diana” artist will reportedly attend the fundraising event wearing a custom Balmain piece.

Although the Met Gala will see some new faces in attendance this year, it appears some celebrities will not be returning to the annual event.

As previously mentioned, it’s been speculated that Anna Wintour, 73, cut the Kardashians from the guest list. However, a source close to the reality TV family said that the rumors of them being snubbed by Anna aren’t true.

Beauty mogul Kim Kardashian, 42, made it to the Met Gala for the first time in 2013, with her now ex-husband Kanye West. At the time, she was pregnant with North West, their first child. In 2019, she addressed becoming a Met Gala fixture as she reflected on her first time at the event.

“I didn’t know anyone [and] I’m sure no one wanted me there.”

The SKIMS founder has been known for wearing outfits at the Met Gala from many famed designers and brands, including; Givenchy, Lanvin, Roberto Cavalli, Balmain, Vivienne Westwood, Versace, and Balenciaga. She also showed up in a vintage Marilyn Monroe piece from 1962. Khloé and Kourtney Kardashian had their first Met Gala experience last year, marking the first time all the Jenner-Kardashian sisters appeared at the event together.
