Ginuwine Falls Off Stage While Performing At ‘Lovers And Friends’ Festival
Man down!
As you may know, over the weekend Ginuwine took the stage at the ‘Lovers and Friends’ festival in Las Vegas where he took an unforgettable tumble. During the performance, Ginuwine attempted to get closer to his fans as he sang his classic R&B hit “In Those Jeans,” but flopped off the stage when doing so. The 52-year-old seemingly underestimated the distance between the stage and the platform which was accompanied by a sign-language interpreter.

In the now-viral video, Ginuwine — real name Elgin Baylor Lumpkin — jumped, miss the platform and almost pulled the interpreter down with him amid using him for leverage.

After his performance, the “Differences” singer took to Instagram live to thank his fans for supporting him at the concert revealing how much fun they had. Addressing his fall, he added:
“Aside from my little spill.”
Making humor out of the embarrassing moment, he sang Donnie McClurkin’s “We Fall Down.”
Ginuwine has a history of attempting dangerous stunts in Vegas. As previously reported, the R&B star passed out earlier last October while participating in a stunt for superstar magician Criss Angel’s “Magic with the Stars” in Las Vegas. In the viral video, Ginuwine, born Elgin Baylor Lumpkin, is seen trying to hold his breath in a glass cube that’s being submerged in water. The goal was to overcome his fear of holding his breath underwater but before the D.C native could complete the mission of holding his breath for at least 15 seconds, he bashed the sides of the glass to signal for help.

A source stated that paramedics arrived at the scene and Ginuwine, unconscious at the time, was carried away and eventually made a full recovery. The source said:
“It all happened so fast, it was like he got tapped out in a fight.”
The “Pony” singer reportedly failed the stunt in rehearsals but he still put his best foot forward during the show and everyone was full of laughter.
