Former ‘RHOA’ Star Kim Zolciak Biermann Had Been Planning To Divorce Estranged Husband Kroy Biermann “For A Long Time” Due To Ongoing Money Struggles

Kim Zolciak-Biermann knew her marriage was ending long before anyone else.

According to a report from Radar Online, inside sources close to the ex “RHOA” star revealed that she’s been quietly preparing for divorce for quite some time.

As we reported yesterday, Kim Zolciak-Biermann filed documents to divorce her husband Kroy Biermann on the 30th of last month. The former couple had been married 11 years and have raised six children together – two from Zolciak’s previous relationships and four they welcomed together. Following the announcement, reports came in that money played a huge factor in the split. Now, inside sources are sharing more details, claiming that 44-year-old has been plotting to leave the marriage for a “long time”.

Reportedly, the source says Zolciak made the decision some time ago but never shared her plans with anyone. They source stated:

“She had not told anyone, not even family. She didn’t tell anyone, even [her] friends were kept in the dark.”

Another source noted that infidelity had nothing to do with the separation. Instead, they confirmed rumors that money was the at the root of the Bravo couples problems. As we’ve also covered, Zolciak and Biermann was found liable for over $1.1 million in tax debt by the IRS earlier this year for unpaid taxes in 2013, 2017, and 2018. Additionally, the ex love birds nearly lost their Georgia home to auction after defaulting on their million dollar home loan.

At the time, Zolciak denied the rumors and insisted they would remain in the mansion until they no longer wanted to. The Housewives alum posted a flashy message to her “haters” addressing the reports, stating:

“What are you going to do, haters, when I’m here for Christmas, and I’m here for my birthday….and I’m here for all those amazing dates?….I’m here until I f*cking want to move out…. So enjoy the view, haters, ’cause you’re going to be seeing it for quite some time.”

If that wasn’t enough, Zolciak reportedly was also sued by American Express for over $200,000 worth of credit card debt. The source reportedly added:

“The money has a lot to do with the split, but there were other factors. He’s been managing [the family] for a long time, so he technically did have a job. They’re not on good terms right now.”

Niether Kim nor Kroy has spoken publicly since the split. Reportedly, they are still living together in the Georgia residence at this time.
