Coolio’s Alleged Assault Victim Demands $173k From Late Rapper’s Estate

Coolio’s alleged assault victim is looking to collect a six-figure payment from the late rapper’s estate.

According to RadarOnline, a woman named Randa Davis has demanded Coolio’s estate pay her in the amount of $173,069.28. The pricey payment comes as a result of an unsettled lawsuit she filed against the rapper prior to his death.

Davis submitted a creditor’s claim for the awarded amount after she received a $104k default judgment against Coolio in 2013.

In her lawsuit, she claimed the “Gangsta’s Paradise” rapper invited her to his VIP area after his September 2009 performance at the MGM Grand Detroit Casino. According to Davis, Coolio was “heavily intoxicated” during their interaction. The suit stated,

“Approximately 5 to 10 minutes later, [Coolio] asked [Davis] to look over the balcony at the crowd. While [Davis] looked out over the dance floor, [Coolio] was jumping or dancing behind her. A few seconds later, [Coolio] pushed [Davis] from behind in the back. [Coolio] proceeded to jump on top of [Davis’] back and “bull rided” her.”

She said the incident caused her immediate “pain in the lower back” in addition to “serious and permanent injuries to her back.”

Davis also noted that she suffered,

“pain, disability, mental anguish, medical expenses, wage loss, loss of future earning potential and other damages.”

She originally demanded $1 million in damages for the alleged assault and battery. Coolio was ultimately hit with the default judgment because he never responded to the suit.

Reportedly, Jarel Posey aka Jarez Posey — Coolio’s manager — estimates the rapper’s estate is worth over $300k. However, the exact amount has yet to be calculated.

As previously reported, Coolio (real name Artis Leon Ivey Jr.) passed away on September 28, 2022, from an accidental fentanyl overdose at the age of 59. He also had residues of methamphetamine and heroin in his body. The entertainer was found dead in the bathroom while visiting his friend’s house in Los Angeles.
