Jennifer Hudson & Common Continue To Fuel Dating Rumors After Being Spotted Together On London Getaway

Jennifer Hudson and Common are continuing to spark dating rumors!

The pair reportedly flew to London together over the weekend to see the Tony-winning musical “A Strange Loop.”

Jennifer Hudson – who is one of the musical’s producers – reportedly arrived separately from Common, however, the two posed for pictures backstage with cast members after the show.

A source reportedly shared,

“There has been speculation for months regarding whether or not they are together, but the fact they’ve traveled all the way to London together just shows they’re very much an item.”

They continued,

“They arrived to the show individually to avoid any commotion but away from prying eyes, they were very much in each other’s company.”

In recent months, Hudson and Common have been spotted out together on numerous occasions.

When asked about their rumored relationship on “The Today Show” last month, Common refused to confirm whether or not they were dating. He said,

“I’ll say, speaking of Chicago, she’s a Chicagoan, this amazing human being — I’ve always been inspired by her…She’s one of the most beautiful people I ever met on the planet. Incredible heart, and she’s just dope, man.”

Back in March, fans speculated that the friends had begun dating after Jennifer Hudson made a birthday shout-out to the Chicago rapper. The “Dreamgirls” star took to her Instagram and wrote:

“Team Jhud pls help me wish one of the brightest lights, a Chicago and hip hop legend, the one and only @common a very happy birthday on today!”

The two have been friends for several years and worked together in the upcoming movie “Breathe.” When quizzed about one of their dinner “dates,” Hudson assured the public that it was just two friends grabbing a bite to eat while filming an action-thriller movie.

She said in an interview,

“People create their narratives of it, and it’s like, ‘Okay, you know… how you feel.’ We shot a film together and he played my husband. We gotta eat in between those moments.”

However, whispers of the pair’s budding courtship strengthened when Common took to his Instagram to show support for the singer’s talk show, “The Jennifer Hudson Show.”

This past September, he wrote in a post:

“Congratulations [Jennifer Hudson] on the birth of The Jennifer Hudson show. You looked amazing up there. So Pure. So True. And really really moving. And above all, so Chicago! YES YES. Chicago move on 4ever! Blessings!”

Common is no stranger to having his love life in the public eye. The “Come Close” rapper has been linked to several high-profile celebrities over the years including Serena Williams, Erykah Badu, Taraji P. Henson, Angela Rye, and Tiffany Haddish.

As for Hudson, the 41-year-old singer got engaged to professional wrestler/former reality TV personality David Otunga in 2008. Ultimately, the former couple separated in 2017. Together, they share a 13-year-old son, David Jr.
