Madonna Breaks Silence Following Health Scare, Postpones World Tour Until October
Madonna is breaking her silence following her recent hospitalization.
On Monday (July 10), Madonna penned a message to her fans thanking them for their support.
She wrote,
“Thank you for your positive energy, prayers and words of healing and encouragement. I have felt your love. I’m on the road to recovery and incredibly grateful for all the blessings in my life.”
She then reflected on her initial thoughts upon waking up in the hospital following her health scare.
“My first thought when I woke up in the hospital was my children. My second thought was that I did not want to disappoint anyone who bought tickets for my tour. I also didn’t want to let down the people who worked tirelessly with me over the last few months to create my show. I hate to disappoint anyone.”

Madonna went on to say,
“My focus now is my health and getting stronger and I assure you, I’ll be back with you as soon as I can!”
The Queen of Pop then revealed that she will be postponing her world tour until October, kicking off the event in Europe. Initially, Madonna’s tour was to start in North America, but it will now be her European fans that get to see the pop star first.

As previously reported, Madonna was hospitalized after being found unresponsive in her New York apartment last month. Madonna’s talent manager and producer Guy Oseary revealed that the singer developed a “serious bacterial infection” on June 24 that led to multiple days in the ICU. The “Material Girl” singer was reportedly intubated for at least one night at a New York hospital before having the tube removed and was hooked up to a ventilator for several days.
