Ice Cube Says That Kanye West Is ‘In A Good Space’ & ‘Learned A Lot’ Following His Antisemitic Rants
After having a controversial year, it appears Kanye West is in a much better head space.
According to Ice Cube, Kanye West is “in a good space” following his antisemitic comments that caused a frenzy.
The L.A. native recently appeared on the “Piers Morgan Uncensored” show and gave an update on the Chicago Rapper. Ice Cube said,
“I believe he’s doing great.”
The “Boyz N The Hood” actor continued and expressed that the Yeezy fashion designer is still dealing with “people trying to hold on to his money,” but besides that, he appears to be doing well.
Cube said,
“I think he’s learned a lot from this past year, and hopefully he’ll come out better on the other side.”
Cube also shared that he had his own conversation with Kanye about his antisemitic comments and how he approached the situation the wrong way.
“I felt that if he was really upset with specific people that the message he was saying would kind of hijack what he’s really upset about.”

He continued,
“That’s kind of what happened. You just can’t generalize, you have to be specific especially if you’re talking about anybody or any race.”
If you recall, the Grammy Award-winning musician made a lot of enemies and lost lucrative business deals last year after making some inflammatory remarks about the Jewish community.

Ice Cube then spoke about the falling out he and Ye had last year when the “Flashing Lights” rapper claimed on “Drink Champs” that Cube had “really influenced” him to “get on this antisemite vibe.”
Cube took to Twitter at the time to shut down Kanye’s comments. The “Friday” actor tweeted,
“I hate that my name was dragged into this Drunk Champs bulls–t. I don’t know what Ye meant by his statements, you’re gonna have to ask him. I didn’t put the batteries in his back. Please leave my name out of all the antisemitic talk. I’m not antisemitic and never have been.”
While speaking with Piers Morgan, Cube said he and West remained “cool” but he had a problem with Kanye not fully explaining “what he meant.”
“He spoke my name without really explaining what he meant and I just really couldn’t leave that statement out there…but since then we’ve talked and I think Ye understands that generalizing will always get you in more hot water than being very specific.”
