Quavo Aboard Miami Yacht Being Investigated For An Alleged Strong-Arm Robbery
It looks like Quavo was caught in the middle of a police investigation!
According to reports, Quavo was aboard a Miami yacht Sunday night (July 23) that is being investigated for an alleged strong-arm robbery.
According to the Miami Beach Police Department, two men identified as Cornell A. Whitfield and Anteneh A. Workeneh allegedly become “very aggressive” with the captain and his crew after they were informed that their time on the boat rental was running out. The men then demanded a refund and began making verbal threats. One of the suspects allegedly threatened to “kill” the captain and “throw him off the boat.” He also removed the captain’s wallet and phone from his pocket. When the owner of the yacht was notified of the incident, law enforcement was contacted.
Upon arrival, police had “several males detained.” A police report confirms that Quavo was among those on board the boat, however, it remains unclear what role he played in the incident. A source claims that the Migos rapper was seen with his hands zip-tied behind his back while police searched the yacht, but was ultimately released.
The source said,
“[Police] let [Quavo] go later and he and his entourage left in these big black SUVs with blacked out windows.”
It’s noted that Quavo was accompanied by a bodyguard and a “bunch of women.”
Reportedly, no arrests were made at the time due to conflicting statements. All parties involved were released and left without incident.
