Lizzo Rep Shoots Down Rumors The Singer Split From Boyfriend Myke Wright After The Pair Unfollow & Cleanse Each Other From Their Social Media: ‘There’s No Truth’

Looks like the internet may have been presumptuous about Lizzo’s current relationship status.

Days after the songstress deleted all photos of her boyfriend Myke Wright from her social media page – sparking breakup rumors, a rep has reportedly claimed the pair are very much still together.

Reportedly, the rep told media outlets that despite reports that the couple of two years are no longer an item, there is “no truth” to the rumors. Speculations that Lizzo, real name Melissa Viviane Jefferson, 35, broke things off with Myke Wright, 36, began earlier this week after the “Rumors” artist erased any existence of their romance from her social media page. The couple quietly began dating back in 2021 and went public in 2022 during a promotional event for the musician’s Amazon series “Lizzo’s Watch Out For The Bug Grrrls”.

Since, the Grammy Award winner has gone on to gush about the relationship on several occasions, hailing Wright as “the love of her life“. As we covered in December, Lizzo even hinted at plans to marry and procreate with her partner in the future. During an interview at the time, the entertainer opened up about how she and her fellow artist had been friends since they hosted an MTV show together back in 2016 and had immediate chemistry. Though they both decided their work and personal lives were too full to start anything romantic, Lizzo confirmed they now have become fully invested in building a lasting romance. She stated during the interview:

“We’re not playing any games with each other anymore. We’re very much locked in.”

And added:

“There’s nobody else I’m going to be with for the rest of my life.”

However, things have seemed to be a bit rocky between the two lately, namely since Lizzo was hit with a bombshell lawsuit accusing her of weight discrimination and sexual harassment by her former tour dancers. Additionally, Wright’s ex-girlfriend recently shared her not so positive perspective of the musician, accusing her of messing around with Wright while they were still in their decade long relationship. Neither Wright nor Lizzo have responded to her accusations publicly, however.

One report additionally claims that a source close to the couple stated earlier this month that Lizzo has been having a “hard time” since her former dancers made the damaging allegations against her, and claimed the situation was negatively effecting her relationship. They reportedly stated:

 “Lizzo has taken the past few weeks very hard and her relationship has suffered. They had a big falling out and she is really upset…Both of them have thought of themselves as soulmates, so for it to end has been hard on them.”

And reportedly added:

“Those close to them are hoping they will make up.”

According the rep, however, it seems the pair are still going strong, for now. Neither Lizzo nor Wright have commented publicly about the situation at this time.
