Halle Berry Finalizes Divorce From Ex Olivier Martinez, Actress Will Pay $8k Monthly In Child Support + Cover Son’s School & Health Expenses

Halle Berry is finally (legally) single again!

The “Catwoman” actress and French entertainer Olivier Martinez, 57, married in July 2013 and in October of that same year, Halle Berry gave birth to their son Maceo. However, their romance was short-lived and in 2015 the former love birds shared with the world that they were divorcing. Despite there being a prenup in place, their divorce process carried on for years due to lingering custody and child support issues.

Thankfully, the pair have found a resolution to their legal battle. According to documents filed in L.A. County Superior Court, Halle Berry has agreed to pay her ex $8,000 a month for child support plus an additional 4.3% of all income she earns that’s above $2 million. The Academy Award winner is also responsible for their son’s private school tuition, extracurricular activities, health insurance — both medical and dental — and uninsured expenses.

As far as the custody part of the settlement, Halle and Olivier Martinez have agreed to joint legal and physical custody of their 9-year-old son. Maceo will reportedly be with his mother Monday to Wednesday and Olivier Martinez will have custody from Wednesday to Friday. The guardianship breakdown also covers schedule variations due to school closures and notes the pair will alternate who has Maceo on the weekends, reports claim.

In addition, the agreement allegedly says the child will attend individual and family counseling. Halle and her daughter Nahla, 15, have been permitted to sit in during the family sessions, however, Van Hunt – Halle’s current boyfriend – is reportedly not allowed to join them.
