50 Cent Listed As Suspect Of Criminal Battery After Throwing Broken Microphone At Production Team, Accidentally Hitting A Concertgoer
Rapper 50 Cent’s recent blunder of frustration could end up costing him quite a bit.
Reportedly, the G-Unit founder is currently a suspect of criminal battery after launching a microphone into the crowd that injured a concert attendee.
The incident took place at 50 Cent’s ongoing “Final Lap Tour” at a recent stop in Los Angeles. Reportedly, the “Candy Shop” artist took the stage and grew increasingly annoyed as several of his microphones seemed to malfunction. Video footage caught the moment that 50, real name Curtis Jackson, 48, drew all his might, throwing the device so hard he nearly toppled over. While reports claim the musician’s intended target was the stage crew, he inadvertently hit a bystander attending the show.

The woman injured was discovered to be media host Bryhana Monegain. In a police report filed subsequent to the incident, Monegain alleged the New York native looked directly at her before catapulting the device, claiming he clearly knew she was there. In response, 50 reportedly argued the radio personality was in a section she wasn’t supposed to be in. However, that doesn’t negate the fact that she did suffer as a result of 50‘s actions. Monegain has not spoken publicly about the incident, but photos of a huge laceration to her head and images of herself wrapped in bloody towels have since surfaced on the internet.
At this time it remains unclear if 50 has responded to officials regarding the police report filed against him. He also has not addressed the issue publicly.
50 is the latest celeb to find himself in trouble after violently lashing out and causing harm to others. As we covered back in July, fellow rapper Cardi B became a battery suspect after chucking a microphone in a similar manner. The “WAP” artist was performing at a show in Vegas at the time.
Earlier in her set, the musician invited people to splash water on her backside as she performed her chart-topping singles. However, things took a turn after one attendee threw the liquid on the rapper’s face. Cardi responded with a strong throwing of her microphone that hit the water thrower but unfortunately, struck someone else too.

The individual reportedly filed a police report, but Cardi was later cleared of the charges.
