Gunplay’s Estranged Wife Says Rapper’s ‘Drug Abuse History’ Is The Reason Their Daughter Was Born w/ A Heart Defect: ‘I Was Just A Dumb*ss’

Vonshae Taylor-Morales is opening up about her daughter’s health and issues she had with her soon-to-be ex-husband, rapper Gunplay.

As previously reported, earlier this year Vonshae and Gunplay – real name Richard Morales Jr. – shared with the world that shortly after their daughter’s birth “the doctors discovered a rare heart defect called ‘Supracardiac Total Anomalous Pulmonary Venus Return.” A GoFundMe created to help with the child’s medical expenses also noted “there is no explanation as to how and why this defect occurs.”

However, Vonshae has a theory as to why their child was born with a serious medical issue that required surgery. During a recent live stream, the University of Miami graduate claimed that Gunplay’s substance abuse issues caused their daughter’s heart defect. She said,

“The reason that my daughter had a heart defect is because of his drug abuse history. Like, he was the cause of her defect, ya’ll could google this. Anybody who abuses cocaine, ketamine, which he did too. He actually OD’d on ketamine twice…it causes cognitive disorders and dysfunctions.”

She continued,

“That’s why my daughter’s heart was f*cked up and he took it really hard.”

She also alluded that when she first started dating the “Power Circle” artist she was unaware he was still struggling with a drug problem and told him “The moment you start using I’m out.”

She added,

“I thought giving him the ultimatum was going to keep him doing well. Cleary that sh*t went out the window…And when I did realize he started using, that’s when a lot of our fights were starting.”

According to Vonshae, whenever she would ask Gunplay why he had a “super red” nose or was sniffing a lot he would claim it was because of his allergies.

She then said,

“I believed it because allergy season out here was bad. I was just a dumb*ss.”

In August Vonshae filed for divorce from Gunplay after he was arrested for allegedly pointing a gun at her while she was holding their young daughter. He was reportedly charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, false imprisonment, and child abuse.
