Lil Scrappy Alludes To Leaving ‘Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta’: ‘It’s Time’
Is “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta” going to have a major cast shake-up for season 12?
Recently we broke the news that producers of “Love & Hip Hop” are allegedly (once again) working on bringing the series to Houston. Reportedly, an attempt to have a Texas version of the popular show was indefinitely paused in 2016 due to intense drama with the cast and issues with the locals. However, it seems executives feel enough time has passed and they’re now ready to show the world what the hip hop scene in the H-Town has to offer.
As expected, the exciting news we exclusively shared received a lot of comments, including one from Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta” OG, Lil Scrappy. The “No Problem” artist wrote a cryptic remark under our post that left some wondering if he’s stepping away from reality TV. He said,
“This is why I have an announcement to make lol it’s time”
Lil Scrappy, born Darryl Richardson III, has been a part of “L&HH: Atlanta” since season one kicked off in 2012. Over the years viewers have watched him reveal childhood traumas, be a dad, and deal with relationship issues. In more recent seasons, he opened up about his mother – Momma Dee – once being a pimp and the end of his marriage to Adiz “Bambi” Benson.
Some speculated that Lil Scrappy’s comment was a hint he’s not returning for another season of “L&HH” with one IG user writing,
“what he bout to say? He quit?”
However, others said the upcoming announcement will reveal Lil Scrappy is simply switching cities and people can keep up with his life on the Houston spin-off. A fan mentioned the rapper directly and asked,
“what? You moving to Houston?”
