‘Teen Mom’ Alum Jenelle Evans Speaks Out After Husband David Eason Is Charged w/ Child Abuse For Reportedly Assaulting Her Teenage Son: ‘Forgot You Can’t Trust Cops’

According to new reports, the husband of the “Teen Mom” OG – David Eason – has officially been charged with child abuse in an investigation involving her son, Jace. At this time, key information surrounding the misdemeanor charge hasn’t been released to the public, however, the case more than likely has something to do with Jace’s third runaway attempt. As previously reported, In September the 14-year-old ran away from home after trying to flee his living situation twice the month prior.

The teen claimed that his latest runaway attempt stemmed from his stepdad, David Eason, physically assaulting him. Allegedly, the incident was captured by security cameras and the footage has since been turned over to authorities and child protective services. In addition to David Eason’s charge, the couple is also under investigation for child neglect due to how many times Jace has tried to run away.

On Tuesday (Oct. 24.) Jenelle Evans took to her IG Stories and shared multiple posts calling out the detectives who investigated her son’s claims. She wrote,

“You would think police wouldn’t make a one sided police investigation. They didn’t conduct interviews. Didn’t ask any information from the parents. This seems like a very bias situation like every time before. I trusted that detective with all my heart.. forgot you can’t trust cops… silly me. I do not trust anyone around me. Going MIA for a while.”

You may recall that for most of his life, Jace was raised by his grandmother Barbara Evans. Reportedly, in March of this year, the 70-year-old woman relinquished custody of the teen to her daughter, a decision she seemingly regrets as she’s called the TV star out numerous times over her parenting style.

In another Halloween-themed text post, Jenelle Evans threatened to sue the Columbus County Sheriff’s Department for “doing the smearing campaign against” David Eason.

She continued,

“Proper protocol was not followed. I have no idea what human being I can trust anymore. Not even my own blood. I’m being fed all these different stories from different people. People trying to get on my good side… to then again betray me over and over. The media won’t give me time to breathe. I know the truth and so does god.”
