NBA YoungBoy Is Depressed & Losing Weight Due To Being On House Arrest For The Past Two Years
NBA YoungBoy is not doing well after two years of home confinement, according to reports.
Rapper NBA YoungBoy‘s mental health after being resident-bound due to house arrest restrictions is currently under question. NBA YoungBoy was ordered not to leave his home pending trial for a gun charge in 2021. In addition to being isolated, the Baton Rouge, Louisiana, artist is not allowed to have visitors whom a judge does not pre-approve. These stipulations seem to have had a concerning effect on NBA YoungBoy, also professionally known as YoungBoy Never Broke Again because his lawyer has stepped in to advocate for leniency.
Reportedly, NBA YoungBoy’s attorney, James P. Manasseh, filed a petition in NBA’s open case to adjust his current stipulations, citing the rapper’s deteriorating mental health, stating,
“Being confined to his home and unable to complete his employment obligations has led to great anxiety, depression, loss of weight and sleep – NBA YoungBoy has been visibly stressed and has expressed concern and loss of hope that he will be able to return to his contracted employment obligation.”
The request to loosen the rein comes after the chart-topping performer displayed that he has been compliant and adherent to the requirements in the last twelve months. His defense hopes his cooperation will prove that the current restrictions can be adjusted to allow NBA YoungBoy to work and get a mental break from his strict conditions. NBA’s legal team is reportedly willing to negotiate precise definitions, assuring continued GPS monitoring and limited geographical movement. No ruling has been made as of yet.
Though the “Bandit” lyricist’s current situation is not ideal, NBA has still been able to create and share new music from his home. As we previously reported, on Thursday, April 20th (2023), NBA hosted a livestream album release party from his Utah residence with 50 Cent’s Branson Cognac as a sponsor. The chart-topper also continues to utilize his social media platforms to stay connected with fans and followers.
Hopefully, NBA YoungBoy will receive a judgment in his favor because mental and physical health, regardless of the circumstance, is paramount. Undoubtedly, NBA’s new wife is by his side to keep him encouraged and hopeful while awaiting a trial date.
