Update: (Nov. 7, 2023):  Love seems to be in the air for Hollywood couples.

Toni Braxton recently confirmed that she’s still with her fiancé Birdman, and now, another private couple is making headlines for their hidden romance. According to reports, over the weekend, paparazzi captured Jennifer Hudson and her boyfriend Common on an intimate date night at Joe’s Pub for a special performance honoring famed jazz vocalist Mikel Mwalimu-Banks. Reportedly, the celebs — who have been very quiet about their relationship — held hands as they walked into the venue.

A couple of days after the rare sighting, Hudson was asked about her rumored boo and she replied,

“Boo’ed up? I think it’s more sophisticated than boo’ed up… Definitely not an entanglement. That’s for sure.”

Original Story: (Aug 1, 2023): Jennifer Hudson isn’t denying speculation that she and rapper/actor Common are an item!

While out in Beverly Hills on Monday (July 31) singer/songwriter Jennifer Hudson, 41, touched on the dating rumors surrounding her and fellow Chicago native Common, 51. During her chat with the paparazzi, the entertainer seemingly confirmed their relationship in addition to showing her rumored boo Common some love.

When a TMZ reporter told Jennifer Hudson that she and Common make a cute couple, the “Dreamgirls” star didn’t deny the alleged relationship. She politely responded,

“Thank you.” 

Despite seemingly aiming to keep key details about their relationship private, Jennifer Hudson might be open to a possible music collaboration with the Chicago rapper. The actress expressed,

“It’ll be dope to see two Chicagoans together [musically,] but I don’t know about that. We’ll see.”

At one point during the conversation, Hudson was asked directly if she was in a romantic relationship with Common, real name Lonnie Lynn. While she didn’t exactly say yes, she did dish out a compliment for Common and said,

“Rumors say a lot of things. But he’s a beautiful man I will give you that. That’s for certain.”

Reports claim the musical pair have been together for months.

As previously reported, Hudson and Common were first spotted late last year while out at a restaurant in Philadelphia. An eyewitness claimed the two were “cozy and flirty.” Love appears to still be in the air as Hudson and Common were recently together in London to see the Tony-winning musical “A Strange Loop.”

Hudson – who is one of the musical’s producers – reportedly arrived separately from Common, however, the two posed for pictures backstage with cast members after the show.

“There has been speculation for months regarding whether or not they are together, but the fact they’ve traveled all the way to London together just shows they’re very much an item.” 

They continued,

“They arrived to the show individually to avoid any commotion but away from prying eyes, they were very much in each other’s company.”
