Keke Palmer Accuses Ex Darius Jackson Of Repeatedly Abusing Her, Requests Restraining Order & Sole Custody Of Their Son

Keke Palmer takes legal action against the father of her child amid recent abuse claims. 

Thursday evening (Nov. 9), it was reported that actress Keke Palmer filed for sole custody of her eight-month-old son Leodis. When given the opportunity to seek shared custody with her estranged ex, Darius Jackson, the “Hustlers” actress declined. No explanation was provided for the reason for the seemingly sudden filing, but shortly after the news broke, allegations of abuse began to circulate. It wasn’t until court documents were obtained, that rumors appeared accurate, unfortunately.

Reportedly, Keke Palmer alleged that the former fitness trainer had been “unhinged, volatile and dangerous to both me and our son,” Palmer also claimed that the abuse happened “multiple times” throughout their two-year courtship. In addition to her verbal recount of violence at the hands of Jackson, Keke also made a written statement and handed over video evidence to corroborate her need for legal protection.

As we previously reported, the very public incident amongst the parents in July (2023) after Keke attended an Usher concert where she displayed behavior and attire unfavorable to Darius seemed to reveal early on that there was a ripple in the relationship.

Jackson took to X (formally Twitter) to publicly express his disapproval of Keke by commenting on a video clip of her being serenaded by the R&B legend. He said,

“It’s the outfit tho.. you a mom.”

Many believed that Keke didn’t deserve to be humiliated by the father of her child and berated Jackson for his statement. 

Things seemed to be all bad for the pair following the Usher concert mayhem, but as reported in late September (2023), when the duo were spotted together seemingly booed up, Keke and Darius seemed to be in a good space. Instead of being happy that the couple may have reconciled, questions and concerns lingered, to which Keke responded, “Mind Y’all’s Business,” so naturally, news of a restraining order and alleged abuse may be hard for some people to wrap their minds around.
