Cam’Ron Urges Nia Long To Respond To His DM Asking For A Chance: ‘It’s Still Sitting There So You Can Read It Personally’
Looks like Cam’Ron isn’t giving up on his pursuit of Nia Long.
The rapper gave an update on what’s happened since shooting his shot with the actress more than a year ago, making it clear he’s still interested despite never getting a response.
Cam’Ron, real name Cameron Ezike Giles, 47, spoke about his crush during a recent episode of his podcast “It Is What It Is” with fellow rapper Mase. The two were discussing NBA coach Ime Udoka, who infamously cheated on Nia Long last year, and his recent court confrontation with Lakers star Lebron James. As we recently covered, many speculated that the “Love Jones” actress was brought up amid their argument, causing her to become a trending topic online.
As Cam’Ron and Mase discussed Udoka and James, the conversation quickly veered into the “Hey Ma” artist reflecting on the very forward message he sent to Long in light of her then-recent break-up. At the time, Udoka had just been fired as head coach of the Boston Celtics for his relationship with a female subordinate. Long and Udoka split after 13 years together, and are currently in an ongoing battle over parental rights to their shared son Kez.
However, the sports professional seemed to be of no concern to the Dipset member. Cam’Ron shared a screenshot of the wordy and thoughtful message sent to Long and even tagged her in the post uploaded to his social media page. The message read:
“Hey stink. I Was giving you some time to yourself till I reached out. Your perseverance as a strong black woman through this turbulent time has been something to behold. You shouldn’t be taken advantage of and exploited as you did nothing to deserve this. Especially all over these sports networks.”
And continued:
“You’re bigger and better then that. You’re a queen, and by the way I’m a king. Together we can achieve the greatness we were both destine for as a couple. (Une Vie a Vivre) that means ‘we have one life to live’ pardon my French lol. As I sit here sipping gazpacho and watching ‘the best man’ I was inspired to reach out, because that’s what I am the best man for you!! Hope to hear from you soon my Mi- amour or should I say ‘Ni-amour.’ I leave you with this ‘the most difficult thing is the decision to act, the rest is merely technical.’ Until the next time the sun rises and moon.”
While Cam’Ron went on to state that in retrospect he believes he “broke the charts with that rizz,” he did admit that the message remains unopened in Long’s inbox. Although it’s been over a year, however, it seems the musician is keeping his eye on the prize. He added during the podcast:
“Yo, open your DMs when you get a chance, Nia. It’s still sitting there so you can read it personally.”
