Wendy Williams’ Manager Will Selby Claims Media Personality Would Flirt w/ Him To Make Her Ex-Husband Jealous, But Their Relationship Has Always Been ‘Just Business’: ‘I Got Nothing But Love For Her’

Kevin Hunter was once on the receiving end of his ex-wife’s pettiness, at least that’s what Wendy Williams’ manager is claiming.

During a recent appearance on the “Way Up With Angela Yee” radio show, Will Selby gave insight into what it’s been like managing former talk show host Wendy Williams over the years. According to Will Selby, their relationship has always centered around business, however, Wendy Williams has previously alluded there was something more between them to make her ex-husband, Kevin Hunter, jealous.

In 2019, prior to stepping away from her infamous purple chair, Williams filed for divorce after it was revealed Kevin Hunter fathered a baby with his alleged long-time mistress. While chatting with Angela Yee and rapper Maino, Will Selby revealed that his boss used him to seemingly get revenge against her ex for cheating. He said,

“I’ll just tell you the truth since we’re on ‘Way Up,’ Wendy wanted to make her ex-husband jealous so she was flirting with me a little bit.”

Despite being put in an awkward situation, Selby has no ill feelings toward Hunter. He continued, giving the businessman his flowers,

“He’s a great guy and he’s had a lot to endure. Just dealing with Wendy hands-on, I know it’s a lot. So I know he had to go through a lot. So I have nothing but the utmost respect for him.”

Circling back to his initial point, Selby said,

“She wanted to make him jealous so she was bothering me, she was, you know, taking a couple of close photos and everything got leaked.”

In 2020 rumors surfaced that Williams had moved on to Selby, who also works as a jeweler. However, the media vet eventually took to her then-talk show to shut the speculation down. In part, she said,

“I was only at the studio for 35 minutes. I was with my friend, who is also my jeweler, Will. But and whatever, here is the big [scoop]. Will is my friend, he happens to be a jeweler. I’m one of his probably low-paying clients. I’m not buying jewelry all the time.”

During his interview, when asked if he reciprocated her advances to “go all the way,” Selby candidly replied,

“No, not at all. I didn’t go anywhere! I didn’t pass go, no monopoly, nothing…I did nothing. I didn’t even give her an extended hug.”

He added,

“It’s just business, There’s nothing outside of that. We’re friends, we care about each other, and I got nothing but love for her.”
