Waka Flocka’s Step-Daughter Defends Him & Her Mother Tammy Rivera After Rapper Receives Backlash For Debuting New Girlfriend, Says Parents Are ‘Both Happy In Separate Relationships’

Fans of former couple Waka Flocka and Tammy Rivera are seemingly still bitter about their divorce.

Social media users flooded the rapper’s comments section recently asking “Where’s Tammy” after he went public with his new girlfriend.

Hard launching his new boo Melanie Montalvo, Waka Flocka, real name Juaquin James Malphurs, 37, shared a picture of them together with the caption:

“Crazy bout Big MeL #MelWaka”

In the comments, his stepdaughter Charlie Rivera, whose mother Tammy Rivera, 37, was once married to the “No Hands” artist, left heart eyes under the photo before defending her parents against naysayers. In one comment the 18-year-old wrote:

“y’all are miserable and pathetic worry about who y’all exes is fu*cking and what they look like”

Adding in another:

“Leave my father alone he is happy and my mother is happy both in separate relationships”

Waka and Tammy’s love story played out much to the enjoyment of viewers during their time on “Love & Hip Hop.” The pair wed back in 2014 and joined the cast of the hit reality show that same year, steadily rising as a fan-favorite power couple.

However, things came to a halt for them in 2021 when speculations began to grow that they called it quits. A little under a year later, the musician made the official announcement that they were going their separate ways.

Though they have both admitted to playing a role in the dissolution of the marriage, it seems fans have still been holding out hope they’d work things out. Social media users flooded Waka’s comments — after he openly claimed his new partner Mel — with less than welcoming messages. Some, however, joined Charlie’s mission to defend Waka and Tammy, arguing that they both deserve to move on and find happiness.

Waka himself also left a plea to critics, writing:

“If y’all really loved me and Tammy respectfully can y’all respect our personal life’s”

It does not appear that Tammy has made any remarks about the situation at this time. Mel, however, seems to be unbothered by the haters. On her social media page, the teacher/model uploaded a slew of screenshots of her and her man and reposted a few messages that showed support for their relationship.

It’s unclear exactly how long the two have been an item, but judging by the photos, it seems safe to guess they’ve been together for quite some time.
